Entrepreneurs are human, too. We have fear of rejection and fear of criticism. My parents were tough, they weren’t too delicate with my feelings. I learned how to pick myself up at an early age, an ability that turns to be tremendously helpful when I became an entrepreneur.
If everyone has a superpower, one of mine is healing myself. My parents were tough, they weren’t too delicate with my feelings. I learned how to pick myself up at an early age, an ability that turns to be tremendously helpful when I became an entrepreneur.
I was invited to speak at a panel in New York early this month. After that, another panel guest invited me to dinner.
She asked: “I’m curious, you look quite young but it’s very obvious that while on stage you looked super chill, confident and calm. You have that look that makes people feel positive and trustworthy. “
That’s why she gets curious about me and want to find answers in my lifestyle or religion.
Well, I said: “Being mature doesn’t have to look serious and tired! When you can see through the core of something, you naturally will feel chill.”
“But why you look so young?” She kept asking.
“Haha! I guess I always have that expressive look like a kid.” I said.
She was still waiting for an answer.
I thought a bit: “It’s meditation. Every morning before I start working I try to do a 20-minute meditation.”
When I become an entrepreneur, I have signed up for uncertainty and rejections on a daily base.
From solving problems to managing ourselves, they all take tons of energy
My goal was never to stand still like Goliath. My goal is to be like T-1000 in Terminator 2, I can be pushed down 100 times, but I will pick myself up 1000 times.
As an entrepreneur, we might be pushed down 100 times, but we can stand up 100 times. One of the key methods is meditation and self-love affirmation.
Recharging is a form of combat power.
Today I read and present to you a self-love meditation that has helped me many years ago. I still remember myself falling asleep with warmth, positivity, and gratitude.
We’ ll have to go through this:
Our parents told us: You are not good enough
Recruiters tell us: We’ve moved on with someone else
Our boss may tell us: It’s still not a good enough
Our clients may tell us: sorry, we will consider you next time
No matter what happened today, we need to love our self unconditionally accept and praise our self unconditionally. Tonight, we recharge, so we can go back to the battlefield and change tomorrow.
Each sentence I will say it twice. sentence. Just repeat after me at the second time.
You can listen to it anytime, before sleep on the plane, in the car, or when you need to calm down to face tomorrow.
Please do not listen to it when you are driving, as you may fall asleep
Love yourself: Because you are meant for more than that, so let’s make it happen.
