Early Arrival? Here Is How to Get Early Check-In and Straight to Your Hotel Room

2019-08-01 by Tess Zhao Leave a Comment

It’s hard to find early check-in hotels, so what to do when you arrive too early to check into your hotel? In this episode, I share my secret tip for getting early check In on early arrival.

Imagine you just arrived in a foreign country after a 13-hour flight. It’s 7 AM. You have back to back meetings coming up and an important client dinner. You need to freshen up and look the part. Yet you just heard the hotel front desk said: “Welcome, our standard check-in time is 3 PM”.

You are about to explode with the last energy you have.

I know, I have been in those situations many times, I know.

However, remember this:

Friendly sleepy puppy gets early check-in.

This is what I usually do:

Early Check-In
how early can you check-in

I would politely (yes you can do it!) tell the front desk:” I understand this is your policy. Look I just arrived after an overnight flight, I have no breakfast, no shower and I have a meeting that is really important to me this afternoon. If any of your rooms happen to be ready earlier, could you please let me know?”

Wink and smile, or whatever you can pull of.

Before you pass out, make sure the front desk has your cell phone number to call you when the room is ready.

This works for me most of the time. On a recent trip, the front desk even gave me access to the hotel breakfast on the day I arrive.

Good luck guys!
